An Honest Reflection on JTB, Small Business, and Listening to the Body in 2025

Running a small business in 2025 has asked more of me than I ever expected. Silly girl thought that the hard parts were finally behind me.

There have been moments this year where I’ve felt deeply clear. And there have been others where I’ve felt confused, exhausted, and unsure of the next right step. Staffing challenges. Transitions. Letting go of what no longer works. Holding responsibility for others while trying to stay rooted in my own nervous system.

None of that is easy to talk about.
But yoga teaches us that bypassing truth only creates more suffering.

So here’s the truth:
This year has stretched me.
And it has also strengthened me.

Yoga reminds us that the mind creates vritti- waves of doubt, fear, and stories of failure or comparison. When I get caught there, everything feels heavy. But the practice asks something different: to see beyond the noise, to reconnect with my sankalpa, my karma, and the deeper intelligence of Spirit that exists within each of us.

When I quiet the mind, the path becomes more clear.

JTB is not just a business. It’s a living organism. It responds when I listen. And lately, I’ve been learning to lean more deeply into my body’s wisdom, especially my sacral center.  Asking not, “What should I do?” but, “What lights me up? What feels expansive? What is asking to be born?”

Some answers are still unfolding.

But what I know is this:
I’m committed to integrity.
To embodiment.
To community over perfection.
To responding rather than forcing.

If you’ve felt uncertain this year- in your work, your body, your life- you’re not alone. The collective is shifting. Small businesses are navigating real challenges. And still, beauty exists. Truth exists. Spirit exists in each and every one of us.

I don’t have all the answers yet.
But I trust the practice.
I trust the listening.
And I trust what is being built… slowly, intentionally, and with heart.

Thank you for being part of this space.
